Pointer Association - About Us
The PLHS Pointer Association!
All Alumni, Parent/Family, Faculty, Student and Community support for Pointers are now part of the
PLHS Pointer Association (a 501c3 nonprofit organization). In addition to the new name, we are bringing together the volunteer efforts and programs formerly
run by the PLHS PTSA with PLHS Foundation and Alumni Association activities. Your membership and donations enable a dedicated group of volunteers to support the school with
their time, and to raise funds for the programs and activities that continue to make Point Loma High a source of pride for generations of Pointers past, present and future. President's Message
It is my pleasure to serve as President of Point Loma High School's Pointer Association for the upcoming 2010-2011 school year. Working side by side with many dedicated parent volunteers, teachers, staff, students and other community members, it is our goal to enrich every student's academic, athletic and social life during their 4 years at our school, their home away from home. Preparing them for a bright future takes many hands, so please decide how you can become involved and join me in our students' journey.

It is the mission of the Point Loma High School Pointer Association to develop and provide resources for enhancing the educational environment of PLHS, to connect alumni, and to maximize interaction between alumni, parents, students, staff, and others who care about PLHS with a goal of building Pointer Pride for generations past, present and future.
Programs and Activities supported by the PLHS Pointer Association

Digital Classrooms Athletics/Underfunded Sports Scholarships for Graduating Seniors School and Classroom Gifts/Grants Alumni Relations: Alumni Records and database Historian Reunion Liaison Social Events Homecoming Pointer logo apparel Memorabilia display eUpdate Newsletters Booster Groups: Oversight of adult/parent Booster groups raising funds for specific PLHS programs and activities (ie: Band, Cheer, Football, Baseball) In 2008-2009 12 active Booster groups raised over $165,000 on behalf of PLHS students.
