2007 Burger King Scholars Program Counseling Office Student Nomination Due

PLHS is allowed to nominate ONE student for this $1,000 award. Students who wish to be considered must meet the following eligibility requirements:

 

1.  Have a cumulative high school GPA average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale

2.  Work an average of at least 15 hours per week, for 40 weeks per year. Employment at Burger King restaurants in NOT required, although Burger King employees may be eligible students.

3.  Demonstrate participation in community service and/or co-curricular activities

4.  Must obtain written recommendations/signatures from a school official and employer (neither can be related to the student.) These recommendations are part of the application form - no separate letters are required.

5.  Plan to enroll in an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school by the Fall of 2007
