There are four U.S. Service Academies:
- U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York
- U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland
- U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Colorado
- U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, New York
Students planning to apply for one of the service academies for the incoming class of 2008 must send completed application materials no later than November 1, 2007.
NOTE: Students who apply for an appointment to a Service Academy must receive a Congressional nomination. Students residing in California may apply for a nomination from either of their two U.S. Senators, or their member of the House of Representatives.
