Sponsored by the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW), several scholarships ranging from $500 - $1,000 will be awarded. To be eligible, a student must be of the Jewish faith, a resident of San Diego County, and will be attending a four-year college or university as a freshman in the fall of 2007.
To apply the student must submit the following information:
A high school transcript which includes Fall 2006
A resume and/or cover letter that highlights academic awards
A brief 1-2 page personal essay relating to any aspect of the NCJW goals described as follows: the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW), Inc., is a volunteer organization, inspired by Jewish values, that works through a program of research, education, advocacy, and community service to improve the quality of life for women, children, and families and strives to ensure individual rights and freedoms for all.
All materials must be sent in one envelope to:
