Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!
To keep everyone current, we have everything about Point Loma High School (PLHS) online for you at www.pointlomahigh.com. There are links for you to communicate directly with any staff member as it is our priority that you always feel heard, welcomed, and informed. Your communication is vital, as we partner together for a successful year. Please be sure to join our parent newsletter so that you can stay up to date on PLHS happenings throughout the year via email. Just scroll to the bottom of www.pointlomahigh.com and enter your email address where it says “EBLAST NEWSLETTER”, then click sign up.
REGISTRATION
We are moving most of our returning and matriculating student registration packet to electronic forms this year. All students should please fill out and submit the 2024-25 registration form here: Returning PLHS Student Registration - Google Forms
Additionally, your information in PowerSchool Parent Portal must be confirmed if everything is the same or updated if anything has changed since last year. Directions for updating your student’s information can be found here.
If you do not have your account information for the Parent Portal, please email [email protected] for assistance. And if you need a paper version of the registration packet, please stop by the office during our summer hours.
IMPORTANT DATES
During Registration Days, students will come to process any forms, have their picture taken and receive their school ID between 8:00am and noon. Our school store will also be open to purchase PE uniforms and PLHS spirit gear. Please try to come on the day listed below that aligns with your class or current activities:

Freshman & New Student Orientation will be held on Friday, August 9th from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.
School starts on Monday, August 12, 2024 with the first bell ringing at 8:40 a.m. Please note that all Mondays will be early dismissal for students this year.
Fall Open House will be on Thursday, September 19, 2024 beginning at 5:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing you attend this very informative event.
PLHS has a long-standing tradition of excellence and pride in the community, and we look forward to our new students being part of this family and welcoming back our returning Pointers! We hope that you and your student(s) will take advantage of the many opportunities at PLHS this year.
