ALL ABOUT YOUR SPANISH TEACHER- PROFE RUBIO

I love teaching Spanish and I am passionate about making the process of acquiring language a fun and engaging experience for students. I have been teaching at PLHS since 1995 and I continue to love my job and my students.

I grew up in Ocean Beach and continue to live there with my husband and daughter. I attended local schools and graduated from PL HS

I graduated from the University of Notre Dame and received my MA in Spanish from The Ohio Stae University. I've studied abroad in Mexico, Peru and Spain, and taught English for a year in Costa Rica.

I enjoy attending conferences to improve my practice, and recently helped develop the SDUSD World Language proficiency rubrics as part of a four-person team.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, planning travels, making mosaic, sand watching Korean dramas.
