Biology

Biology: Living Earth is a 2-semester course that fulfills the biological science requirement for graduation. This course follows the Guaranteed Viable Curriculum developed by SDUSD and includes lab activities and literacy exercises. 

 

This is Ms. Cullen's 8th year teaching Biology at PLHS. Class is located in room 151. 

 

Periods 1 and 2 are Advanced Biology, a course primarily for 11th grade students. In addition to the GVC, students will build science communication skills and applying biology content knowledge to different aspects of their education and lives. Students can anticipate up to 30 minutes of homework each evening. 

 

Period 6 is Biology: Living Earth, a course primarily for 9th grade students. In addition to the GVC, students will build study skills and learning strategies that will benefit them throughout their education journeys. Any work not completed during class should be finished at home that day.
